Tillandsia Seleriana x Baileyi

Tillandsia seleriana x baileyi brings together the thick, bulbous base of T. seleriana with the long, twisting leaves of T. baileyi, resulting in a plant with a wonderfully sculptural shape.

The base is chunky and rounded, while the narrow leaves curl and twist upward and outward, giving the plant plenty of movement. A covering of fine trichomes gives the foliage a soft, silvery-green appearance, creating an interesting contrast between its substantial base and its wispy, twisting leaves.

The result is a Tillandsia with an almost otherworldly shape—part bulbous, part twisted and flowing. It’s a particularly fun hybrid to display where you can appreciate its shape from different angles.
