Tillandsia Pruinosa Guatemala

Tillandsia Pruinosa Guatemala is often called the “Fuzzy-Wuzzy” air plant, and it’s definitely one of the more unusual-looking Tillandsias in our collection! This bulbous air plant has dark green, wavy leaves covered in a thick layer of silvery-white trichomes, giving it a fuzzy, almost frosted appearance.

Its swollen base and curling, irregular leaves give Pruinosa a wonderfully quirky look. It’s not your typical neat and tidy rosette—and that’s exactly what makes it interesting. If you like air plants with unusual shapes and lots of character, this one is definitely worth a closer look.

When it blooms, Pruinosa really turns up the drama, producing a hot-pink flower spike topped with large purple flowers. The bright flowers are a striking contrast to its dark green, fuzzy foliage.

Care:  Dip the leaves in water about twice a week or give them a good spritz. Do not soak this air plant. After watering, gently shake out any excess water and make sure water doesn’t collect in the bulbous base, as this can lead to rot.
