Tillandsia Ionantha Vanhyningii

Tillandsia ionantha vanhyningii is a hardy airplant known for its distinct, stem-like growth habit.  Unlike the typical rosette shape of most ionanthas, this cultivar is caulescent, meaning it grows along a visible stem that elongates over time to create a beautiful trailing or "creeping" effect. Its thick, succulent-like leaves are covered in silvery trichomes, giving the plant a frosted, velvety texture.

When the plant is ready to bloom, the foliage changes from green to a bright red, followed by the emergence of small purple tubular flowers.
