Tillandsia Capitata Mauve

Tillandsia capitata ‘Mauve’ is a beautiful, full-bodied air plant with a naturally rounded shape and thick, sturdy leaves. Its foliage can shift from green to soft mauve and rosy-purple tones when grown in bright light, giving it a completely different look depending on the season and growing conditions.

The colour is especially noticeable as the plant approaches flowering, when the foliage can take on richer pink, mauve and purple tones. The dense rosette gives it a nicely rounded, almost sculptural appearance that makes it easy to display on its own.

Tillandsia capitata is native to Mexico, Honduras and parts of the Caribbean, where it grows on trees and rocky surfaces.
