Tillandsia Streptophylla Ultra Curly
Tillandsia Streptophylla Ultra Curly
Tillandsia Streptophylla is also known as the "Shirley Temple" because its leaves get curly and look like ringlets. They look similar to Xerographicas, and are actually part of the same xeric family of tillandsias. This means that the Streptophylla's leaves have a fuzzy layer of trichomes, and they can tolerate drier conditions. The leaves tightly curl when they need watering.
Water: Because of the bulbous base of this plant, water can easily get stuck in the base and cause the plant to rot. For this reason, it is better to mist or dunk the plant rather than soak it. Gently shake off the excess water and allow the plant to dry on a towel.
